Sister Rita Larivée, President, and Fr. Timothy Scott, Executive Director, are in Rome Meeting with the heads of various offices at the Vatican in relation to the work of the CRC. For this occasion, they met Cardinal Turkson who just opened yesterday an international seminar titled “Sustainable development and the future of work in the context of the Jubilee of Mercy” taking place in Rome.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to share with Cardinal Turkson the work of justice and peace by religious communities in Canada, and to hear his global perspective on these issues” said Fr. Scott.
These meetings occur periodically; most recently in 2014 Michel Proulx as President and Yvon Pomerleau as Executive Director conducted similar meetings.
