New structure of governance for the Sisters of the Holy Cross

The 25e General Chapter of the Sisters of the Holy Cross Congregation was recently held from June 25 to 30, 2016.

During the first session of this chapter, the Council adopted a new structure of governance.

Here is the message they address to the CRC Members:

“Thank you for your prayerful support during the first session of our Congregational Chapter held last June under the theme “Together on the pathways of resurrection of the world”. We perceived the presence of the Spirit of God among us throughout our deliberations, as well as the strength of shared prayer.

During this session, the Capitular Body adopted a new structure of governance which brings three important adjustments: a more participative model of leadership, the creation of Field Coordinators for Mission, Community Life and Formation as well as the establishment of the new Region of North America, previously composed of four separate regions (Quebec, Ontario, West, U.S.A).

Sister Jacqueline Boudreau, SNJM, was the moderator of the Chapter and Father Simon Pedro Arnold OSB gave the retreat. You will find the text of his conferences on our Web Site: www.soeursdesaintecroix.org.

This session of the Chapter was followed by the Mission Congress which was a time of reflection and of common research in order to actualise our mission for today. The texts of Mr. André Myre, one of our resource persons with Sister Lise Lebrun, CSC are also on our Web site.

The second session of the Chapter will be held from July 6-14, 2017.”
