Religious Poverty a Prophetic Challenge to First World Economics

A lecture given by Sandra M. Schneiders, IHM, in Montreal, on September 27th. Sister Sandra Schneiders was invited by the Association des Trésorières et Trésoriers des Instituts Religieux (ATTIR). CRC is grateful to Sister Schnieders and ATTIR for giving the permission to publish her talk on this website. The French version of the lecture, under the title Pauvreté religieuse : défi prophétique à la première économie mondiale, is being published in two parts in the magazine on consecrated life, En son Nom. Mission Formation Service

In light of the CRC Mission Statement, the focus of the Mission Formation service is to address the challenge to religious life “to be a prophetic sign in the world”. To do this, this service offers support to leadership teams of religious congregations in keeping the mission of religious life alive in our world in the midst of the numerous challenges it faces today.
