About CRC
CRC Mission Statement
The Canadian Religious Conference (CRC) is both a voice for and a service to leaders of religious institutes and societies of apostolic life. The mission of the CRC is to encourage its members to live fully their vocation in following Christ. The CRC supports its members in their prophetic witness to justice and peace within society and the church. The CRC looks for audacious ways of interpreting faith and life so as to embrace the new vision of the universe.
Adopted on September 2010, this mission statement is at the heart of CRC's action.
The CRC Logo
The CRC logo was created in 2003 with the reorganization of the Canadian Relifgious Conference to reflect the mission and dynamism of religious life in Canada.
The logo illustrates the mission and dynamism of the CRC. It underlines the commitment of religious to build the kingdom of justice and peace. The movement created symbolises the prophetic action of the CRC, and implies the confidence of religious to embrace new ways of being.

The logo is fresh and new and, like the CRC, it strives for continuity. It reminds us to step forward with faith in the future and pride in our heritage. The colour blue symbolises our presence from ocean to ocean, our link with the cosmos and the desire of the CRC to guard the integrity of Creation. Blue is also associated with the waters of Baptism, which the CRC Mission Statement refers to: “Baptized in Christ, consecrated publicly to God in religious life, we are called to be a prophetic sign, in the world and in the Church.”
The earthy brown recalls our roots and basic mission, and our connectedness to the Earth. It also symbolises light and vitality and evokes the partnership that we wish to maintain with other groups that share in the mission to transform our world. Overall, the logo reminds us of our great hope.

The articles of the Volume 10, Issue 1 of the CRC Bulletin were written by the members of the Theological Commission. This issue looks back at Vatican II, at its implementation and at its impact.
